Shiro Kuramata
For over a decade, designshop has been showcasing the works of the legendary interior designer Shiro Kuramata (1934-1991), who transcended eras. Even over 30 years since his passing in 1991, his creations continue to provoke many questions.
In conjunction with the large-scale exhibition "Shiro Kuramata's Design: Microcosms in Memory," which toured from November 2023 to 2014 at the Setagaya Art Museum, Toyama Prefectural Museum of Art, and the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto, is the "Shiro Kuramata | Shiro Kuramata Gallery" exhibition. This exhibition showcases furniture, clocks, accessories, and more that are still being produced. In January 2024, it will be held at Sempredesign, in February at MoMA Design Store Omotesando, and in March at Designshop. Visitors will have the opportunity to sit on chairs and touch the exhibited items.
Furthermore, delicious coffee will be available at the Designshop venue.
