The Takehisa Yumeji Museum opened on November 3, 1990. The museum exhibits and displays the Yumeji collection of Takumi Kano (1919-2009), the museum's founder. Hongo, Tokyo, where the museum is located, is where Yumeji once stayed at the Kikufuji Hotel and where he had many encounters with his beloved Hikono Kasai.

As the only museum in Tokyo where Yumeji's works can be viewed, visitors can enjoy a wide range of Taisho Romanticism, from "Yumeji-style beauty paintings" reminiscent of the good old days to design works that attempt modern expressions.

The Yayoi Art Museum, located on the same site, is also available for viewing. The Yumeji Café Minatoya is also located on the same site.
