The Tokyo Station Gallery is a museum that embodies the history of Tokyo Station Marunouchi, an important cultural asset. The museum was temporarily closed in 2006 due to the preservation and restoration of Tokyo Station, but reopened in the fall of 2012. The exhibition room features red brick walls that expose the structural bricks and steel frame of Tokyo Station at the time of its construction. The museum is guided by three pillars: "Rediscovering Modern Art," which attempts to discover unknown artists and reexamine overlooked art; "Railways, Architecture, and Design," which considers the fact that the museum is located in Tokyo Station, designed by Kingo Tatsuno; and "Invitation to Contemporary Art," which conveys the appeal of ever-changing expressions. We hold about four to five exhibitions a year.
