It was my first experience with this artist. The Sompo Museum is quite nice and the presentation enjoyable. Not too many people which was a bonus. This exhibit features three different phases of this artist. There were also sketches, postcards and articles included. 
I found his first phase quite dark but the second and third phases were more appealing. To me, the paintings had an odd perspective which had a bit of a jarring effect on me. 
Nevertheless, I enjoyed it a lot.

The museum opened on the 42nd floor of the Sompo Japan headquarters in 1976 as the Seiji Togo Museum of Art, and in April 2020 changed its name to the Sompo Museum of Art, and in July of the same year moved to a six-story building on the same site. The museum holds exhibitions of Japanese and foreign artists about five times a year, and is well known as the only museum in Asia where you can see Van Gogh's Sunflowers.
