Art House Asohbara Valley

Opened in November 2010, Art House Asohbara is housed in a renovated old private house. The exhibition space is a fusion of art and a space that is approximately 150 years old. To date, the gallery has hosted exhibitions by contemporary artists such as Wakiro Sumi, Tateishi Taiga, and Ryota Kuwakubo, as well as local artists. Yoro Gorge, where the art house is located, is in the center of the Boso Peninsula in Chiba Prefecture and is a tourist destination for the Yoro Gorge hot spring resort, the eight scenic views of Yoro, and hiking in Daifukuyama and Umegase Gorge. It is a place of beautiful natural scenery not only during the season of fresh green and autumn leaves but also throughout the year.
