Tomotosi Museum of Contemporary City

Opened in April 2020 in Nishiogikubo, Tokyo, this museum practices and introduces experiments in the contemporary city. The museum holds permanent exhibitions by artist Tomotoshi and talk programs and parties by independent curator and editor-in-chief Nishida, as well as special exhibitions on the theme of the city and art by curators and directors. The museum's guiding principle is that "a city is a place of supreme encounter and continuous change," and by continuing to involve a variety of practitioners, it aims to become an art museum where characters from the story of art 100 years in the future will gather.
