Mumuko “Wrinkle Up”

Canon Gallery Ginza

poster for Mumuko “Wrinkle Up”

Ends in 5 days

Wrinkles say a lot about a person. Trees wrinkle, too. They both carve wrinkles in order to survive. The people Mumuko met in Myanmar and the bare nature of Yakushima.

In this exhibition, Mumuko weaves together the “wrinkles” of both.
“What is the origin of living things?” This is the starting point of the artist’s work. In order to find the answer to this question, Mumuko continues to have conversations with people, animals, and plants all over the world. In this exhibition, Mumuko crosses the boundaries of photography and explores the possibilities of expression through video and installation.
