The Day We Saw the Same Moon
R16Studio

Starts in 2 days
Atsushi Watanabe is a former “hikikomori” shut-in who has rejoined society. In this era of COVID-19, when many people feel isolated, he began observing and photographing the moon, noting that when you’re looking up at it, someone else probably is too at the same time. This exhibition features an installation of around 1,000 photographs of the moon taken around the world, a work illuminated by a smart remote control system used by people far apart from each other, and four works reflecting on people who are “not here.”
Location: R16 Studio Room 9, Room 10 (observable from street)
