Art Basel Hong Kong, the largest art fair in Asia, is scheduled to take place from March 23 to 25, 2023. With 172 participating galleries from 32 countries and territories worldwide - a significant increase from 130 exhibitors in the previous year, this edition will be the largest in Hong Kong since the pandemic.

The venue is Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). A total of 21 galleries from China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Nigeria, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States are scheduled to participate for the first time. Exhibitors from Japan include KOSAKU KANECHIKA, KOTARO NUKAGA, Takuro Someya Contemporary Art, Yutaka Kikutake Gallery, and YOD Gallery.

The exhibition marks the return of the Encounters sector, dedicated to large-scale works and curated by Alexie Glass-Kantor, Executive Director of Artspace, Sydney, and the showcase of the Kabinetts sector, which will feature themed exhibitions. For the first time since 2019, Art Basel Hong Kong will showcase all of its sectors and is expected to set the direction of the art scene in Asia once again.
