"Landscapes with a Corpse" is a project that Izima has been working on since 1993 by collaborating with actresses and models. The works are portrayals of "ideal deaths", with the locations, clothes and manner of death meticulously set up. His works present a beauty that is akin to fear, with the dead bodies of models dressed with designer clothes creating a film-like atmosphere. Izima states that "death is a part of life" and that this project led him to realize how fearful he is of death yet again. He also mentions his personal need for religion to overcome such fear.
