This year marks the 50th anniversary of the signing of the mutual security treaty between Japan and the US. Linda Hoaglund, an American translator and filmmaker who was born and raised in Japan, conducted interviews with prominent Japanese artists who lived through the so-called "Anpo" crisis in the 1960s, including Setsu Asakura, Tadanori Yokoo, Makoto Aida and Miyako Ishiuchi, in the process of making her first documentary film, "Anpo".

This talk event between Hoaglund and Miyako Ishiuchi, who was born and raised in Yokosuka (home to a US military base), will address the current state of US-Japan relations and its relation to art.

Screening begins at 19:15, followed by a talk starting at 20:45
