Koichi Yamada is known primarily as a film critic. He spent the Sixties in France, where he got involved in the then-nascent Cahiers du Cinema, a film magazine started by the founding members of the Nouvelle Vague. This exhibition, which is being held to commemorate the publication of a new book by Yamada, showcases photos taken by him of leading directors and actors of the movement, including Francois Truffaut, Jean-Luc Godard, Jacques Demy, Anna Karina and Catherine Deneuve.
