Tony Tafuro
Tony Tafuro creates original characters for the clothing he designs. This exhibition will feature a collection of his work on both canvas and paper. The works on paper were created in 2019 as a series titled "Making Friends," with the colors and energy of each character representing the movement and expression of making new friends.
Two other series, "Wild Group" and "Wild Landscapes," are also presented. Both use the word "wild" to describe the multilayered and expressive nature of Tafuro’s work, including his original garments and paintings. A special mini collection including all one-of-a-kind hand-drawn T-shirts, long sleeve T-shirts, pants, and shoes – all exclusive to Domicile Tokyo – will be available from April 22 (Friday). An opening reception will also be held on the same day.
