 Located in the eastern part of Kobe in HAT Kobe, the museum is one of the largest in Japan. Designed by architect Tadao Ando, the museum boasts a collection of over 10,000 items, including work by Ryohei Koiso and Heizo Kanayama, both of whom are associated with Hyogo. The museum holds "Collection Exhibitions" (themed exhibitions of the museum's collection and small special exhibitions featuring works outside the museum) and "Special Exhibitions" that introduce masterpieces from Japan and abroad. The "Ando Gallery" (free admission), which introduces models of Ando's works, is also recommended.
