The Ryukoku Museum is a comprehensive Buddhist museum that introduces Buddhism in an easy-to-understand manner.

In addition to a series of exhibitions that introduces Buddhism from its birth to modern Buddhism, the museum also holds special exhibitions and special exhibitions based on specific themes related to Buddhism.

The museum has a permanent exhibition hall with a full-scale reconstruction of the Bezeklik Grottoes, where the Silk Road's finest Buddhist art, the Vows, were painted.

The museum is approximately 12 minutes on foot from Kyoto Station.
