Embassy of Switzerland

Switzerland is located in the heart of Europe and is home to a wide variety of cultures. Four official languages are spoken in the country, including German, French and Italian, which represent the major cultural spheres of Europe. Historically, Switzerland has been at the crossroads of cultures, with artists from all walks of life coming to the country to work and live in exile, bearing the fruits of their culture. Many Swiss artists, such as Le Corbusier, Giacometti and Sandler, have crossed national borders to become active internationally.

This cultural diversity is the backdrop for many of the artistic activities that take place today. The Embassy of Switzerland in Tokyo will use the reception hall of the embassy to exhibit works of art in order to publicize these artistic activities in Switzerland.
