As a place for a wide range of creative activities centering on the performing arts, we will develop five large and small studios that can be used for up to two months, and welcome talented young artists as resident artists, providing support and financial support from a long- term perspective. Currently, three Yokohama-based artists, Toshiki Okada (chelfitsch), Shigeki Nakano (Shigeki Nakano + Franken's), and Mikuni Yanaihara (Nibroll) are resident artists.
In order to promote exchange between the community and artists, we have also created a place for exchange and dialogue that transcends genres and generations by holding monthly art cafes and setting up a library. In collaboration with surrounding facilities, we are planning to develop projects that will create encounters between artists and people living in Sakuragi-cho and Noge. Furthermore, we will support a comprehensive support system from the discovery of artists to their long-term development, with an eye to their activities overseas.
