Egen Gallery opened in 2021 in Tokyo. “Egen” comes from Buddhism and means “the eye of wisdom”. Our gallery is located in a Japanese Western-style wooden apartment building that has been loved and cherished by successive generations of residents since 1936. We hope that through our artists and their works, people will be able to see the world a little more brightly, deeply, sharply, and flexibly. In addition, Egen Gallery aims to evolve with our artists through diversified activities around the world. Together, we wish to express the richness of living contemporaneously in this ever-changing society.
