Kaburaki Kiyokata Memorial Art Museum Kamakura City

This memorial museum was established in 1998 on the site of the former residence of Kiyotaka Kaburaki, a master of modern Japanese painting, in Yukinoshita, Kamakura, the place of his death. The bereaved family of Kaburaki donated his art work, materials, and the land and building to Kamakura City with the intention of passing on his painting and creative activities to future generations. The Japanese-style building stands neatly in a quiet residential area of the ancient capital of Kamakura.
