"Japan Underground III" is the concluding part of the "Japan Underground" series of work by the artist, who has spent 13 years photographing worlds beneath Tokyo. He photographs and compiles places such as the Shiodome redevelopment site, the underground facilities of the high energy accelerator research organisation, the Ikuno silver mines, and the underground vegetable plants. "Tokyo Demon" is a two-piece work showing the strange world of Tokyo at night, underground.
