Masanori Handa takes a new approach in this exhibition at Kodama Gallery Tokyo. He has been creating installations consisting of an overwhelming number of things displayed in unusual spatial configurations. His exhibitions have included "Shirahama Aomatsu Nuclear Power Plant Calabash" at Kodama Gallery Tokyo in 2005, "Entrance to the End of the World Exposition" in 2006, and "End of the World Exposition" at Mito Art Museum in 2007.
This exhibition consists of large scale 2D works which have a similar appearance to presentation boards or blueprints. Like Handa's previous installations, these pieces are not mere process drawings, but indispensible elements constructing a single universe. A tense atmosphere fills up the gallery space, as if something is going to unravel at any moment.
