Since their inaugural manifesto published by Andre Breton in 1924, Surrealism slowly grew to become the 20th century's largest art movement. From their base in Paris, the movement spread internationally, influencing everything from visual art to advertising and fashion. This exhibition focuses on the relationship between surrealism and photography, and introduces the unique visual world that brought about a revolution in artistic expression throughout the previous century. These photographs look back on the artistic paths of a multi-dimensional movement by continuing to throw new light on this influential artistic school.
