Artists

Benjamin Adelmann
Benjamin Adelmann is a working artist from Los Angeles California. His paintings are executed through a non-objective standpoint and without reference. They begin in a mode of psychological abstraction and build up into a kind of ambient terrain through structure-building that emerges as they are painted. Forms possessing semi-coherent physicality create a habitat of painterly spatial dimensions. This strategy is compared to other contemporary artists who perform an opposite method, producing landscape-to-abstraction work, which seeks to break down referenced imagery. Rather, the result of Benjamin’s completed compositions harbor new tangent realities which build (instead of deconstruct) from no predefined barriers, enabling a deeper quality of ineffability.
