Exhibiting some 70 paintings from The Israel Museum, Jerusalem by masters of Impressionism such as Monet, van Gogh, and Gauguin, as well as works by members of Les Nabis, which transformed Impressionistic expressions of light and color.

The red brick building is a reconstruction of the Mitsubishi Ichigokan, designed by Josiah Conder and built in 1894. In 2010, the museum opened as the Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum, located just a five-minute walk from JR Tokyo Station, in one of Japan's leading business centers, Marunouchi, playing a role as a cultural center for the city. The museum's collection focuses on late 19th-century Western art, including Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Odilon Redon, and Felix Vallotton. The museum also houses Café 1894, a museum café and bar, Store 1894, a museum store, and the Historical Reference Room, a space for experiencing the history of Marunouchi. A stroll through the Marunouchi area along with the museum is highly recommended.
