Contrast, a creative studio managed by the design studio In Focus, is pleased to announce "Silent Rain" - an exhibition by the sound artist Ray Kunimoto, held between June 11th (Sat) and June 26th (Sun). Under the theme of "Silence", Kunimoto connects modern technology with the Japanese traditional aesthetic concepts. His expressions include sound making, engineering, sculpture, space design and other, through which he creates a new kind of sound experience. This exhibition is his first Japanese exhibition in five years, and the one to present his new sound paintings "Ame" - a new attempt for the artist. The theme of this exhibition is "Silent Rain" as Kunimoto focuses on the rainy season characteristic for Japan, and reinterprets the silence and spirituality that it creates. Installations will be on view on the first and second basement floors.
