Domoto Insho (1891-1975) created fusuma paintings for shrines and temples at 13 locations nationwide throughout his career. We introduce the fusuma paintings at Chishakuin Temple, including the highly popular “Women at a Tea House,” which earned him the praise “Kyoto has modernity.”
