The Fukuoka City Art Museum has collected outstanding works of art that trace the course of 20th-century art history. This section displays selected works, so to speak, the stars of the Fukuoka City Art Museum collection.

Collection Highlight 2: Let's go for an art walk!
The Fukuoka City Art Museum's collection of modern and contemporary artwork is displayed in four themed areas.
The works in the four corners ("1 Forest of Reality and Dreams," "2 Sea of Matter and Sense," "3 The Universe of Color and Form," and "4 Cities of History and Memory: Into the Future") are arranged in chronological order, allowing visitors to trace the flow of art since the 20th century.
