モディリアーニで始まり、ホドラーで終わり。「マハナ・マア」を鑑賞して、ゴーギャンとゴッホのの破綻した関係を感じながら、「ポプラ林の中の二人」にゴッホの最期の気配を感じて胸が痛くなるといった企画展かなぁと予想していました。 シンシナティ美術館は、市民のため、教育のための美術館という性格があり、その企画展では丁寧に西洋画の歴史を辿っていく内容でした。すごく楽しかっただけでななく、かなり勉強になりました。それにしてもスゴイ教材が並んでいるので、贅沢な授業を受けた気持ちになりました。
