IG Photo Gallery presents Tamayura, a solo exhibition by Harumi Kuga, opening November 10, 2026. Kuga’s black-and-white photographs capture places, objects and fleeting encounters, holding a sense of time beyond the instant. Through the interplay of looking, memory and intuition, the work explores how we receive the world and translate those experiences into images. Inspired by the ideas of American photographer Minor White, Kuga seeks to move beyond habitual ways of seeing and discover what images can communicate beyond words. The exhibition coincides with the publication of Kuga’s first major photobook, Tamayura, by Sokyusha.
