Julian Klincewicz (b. 1995) is an artist based in California who uses a variety of forms of expression, including photography, video, music, text, and fashion, to explore and express a unique vision. His works speak about contemporary society using a personal, yet symbolic and pop language.

This exhibition, which marks the first public display at the Marc Jacobs Event Space, will feature Klincewicz's latest work, "Solo Tumult." While shooting a commercial in Waimea Bay, one of the world's premier surf spots on Oahu, Klincewicz coincidentally witnessed the arrival of the biggest swell of the year and passionately continued to take photographs. "Solo Tumult" captures the human quest for harmony amidst chaos, encapsulating contrasting elements such as nature and humanity, stillness and motion, spirit and body. It offers a parabolic depiction of humans trying to find harmony amid chaos. It suggests the artist's status within the fast-paced commercial space and serves as a portrait of us living in the bustling contemporary world.
