Kanon Yunoki
Kanon Yunoki graduated from Musashino Art University's Department of Architecture in 2021. Until June of last year, she assisted her mother in caring for her grandparents in Kagoshima. After her grandfather passed away at home, she returned to Tokyo and began her creative activities. Yunoki endeavors to create structural paintings and picture books that evoke unique emotions, starting from an architectural approach to encourage immersive experiences.

In this exhibition, Yunoki will present a series of flat paintings that have evolved from her unique design method, which she developed during her time in the architecture department, by repeatedly drawing introspective sketches to determine the form from within and assembling each part of that introspection into a home. By starting to draw rooms from pictures, she experiences each spatial scene tactually and sensually, almost as if constructing a body from within, converging into a home.

The exhibition will feature 17 paintings and drawings titled "17 Pieces of the Blue Room," along with other models, which will also be available for simultaneous online sale.
