Kunie Sugiura
Kunie Sugiura will exhibit her "Artist" series in the gallery space, created in collaboration with many renowned artists. The book space will feature her past work.
Since the 1990s, Sugiura has invited artists to her studio, sometimes visiting them herself to capture their shadows using the photogram technique. The shadows are the objects and gestures that represent each artist, such as Yayoi Kusama, Jun Aoki, Atsuko Tanaka, Akira Kanayama, and so on.
"Kunie Sugiura' Traces and Footprints Index and Footprints'" which traces Sugiura's activities through interviews and writings by critic Mariko Takeuchi will be featured, along with a solo exhibition by Kunie Sugiura at three simultaneous locations in Tokyo and Kyoto.
