Lines, Surfaces, Traces - The Ando Foundation Collection: From 20th Century Art

The Museum of Fine Arts, Gifu
Until Jun 16
The Ando Foundation Collection is a collection of artwork gathered by the Ando Foundation, established with a donation from the businessman Shoji Ando. Since the first year of the Heisei era, the collection has focused on "art from the 1950s onwards" and has continued to grow over 35 years, becoming quite substantial.

In this exhibition, we introduce the allure of the artworks in this collection, focusing on three key elements: brushwork, color, and texture, using the keywords "lines, surfaces, and traces" as guides.
