Artists

Mamiko Kakitsubo
Mamiko Kakitsubo explores the concepts of visibility and invisibility, existence and non-existence. She creates sculptures using terracotta and glaze, focusing on memory and traces, while also incorporating ice as a medium to symbolize the process of forgetting.

In the text accompanying her solo exhibition, she states, "The presence in memory seems to drift slightly away from its original form, distancing itself more with each recollection." Her work includes terracotta sculptures inspired by the human body and pieces delicately enveloped in various materials like cocoons. The exhibition will feature both sculptural and video work.
