Gallery Hirota presents Natsuki Urushihara: Forms of a Hundred Flowers, on view from November 13 to 28.

Born in 1977, Natsuki Urushihara completed a graduate degree in Japanese painting at Tokyo University of the Arts and has since continued to develop a practice centered on solo exhibitions. Since 2013, the artist has focused on figures and landscapes, exploring the nature of existence through painting.

In recent years, Urushihara has become increasingly interested in the sacred qualities of people, plants and landscapes. This exhibition presents around ten new works that explore the flower as a central motif and the worlds that unfold through it, including a pair of large-scale paintings.
