The Museum of Modern Art, Saitama (MOMAS) opened in 1982 in the lush Kita-Urawa Park. The museum displays a collection of outstanding works of art, ranging from foreign masters such as Monet, Chagall, and Picasso to contemporary Japanese artists. The museum also holds special exhibitions with unique themes and introduces many Good Design chairs that visitors can freely sit on.

In addition, the museum holds lectures and workshops for parents and children to become more familiar with the arts. There is also a museum store with art books and goods, and a restaurant serving authentic Italian cuisine, where visitors can enjoy the museum at their leisure.
