Nobuyuki Takahashi
Takahashi Nobuyuki's works carry a vast and light impression. It is a result that aligns with the essence of the scenery he instantly perceives, and the finished paintings, while changing over a vast time, reveal the origins that evoke the impression of that scenery.

Takahashi paints "sceneries that become paintings." "Becoming a painting" seems to be a phrase that depicts the process where landscapes are nurtured within us as we view paintings, giving rise to new impressions. This exhibition marks the first show to open in eight years. In addition to the traditional natural landscapes, the exhibited works also depict the surroundings of the gallery- areas such as Nihonbashi Kayaba-cho and Kabuto-cho.
