Parco Kinoshita
Parco Kinoshita is a painter born in Tokushima in 1965 and lives in Miyagi. His artist name was inspired by the Parco Prize he won at the Japan Graphic Exhibition in 1989 for a work he created while teaching elementary school. In the 1990s, after working as an art teacher at a junior and senior high school, he became an illustrator, and his debut as a manga artist, "Drifting Teacher," was published in "Monthly Manga Garo" as a book. He has also been active in community revitalization through art in disaster-affected areas and temporary housing since the earthquake in 2011 and continues to support reconstruction activities. 2017. Reborn Art Festival, a contemporary art festival held in Ishinomaki, led him to move to Miyagi. Currently, he runs the "Hiyorizaka Art Research House" in Ishinomaki, planning exhibitions and aiming for reconstruction through art.

Parco Kinoshita began to confront the sea and spirits after the Great East Japan Earthquake. As he tried to see the spirits that were supposed to be there by making his senses more acute, he felt that there were people in the sky, air, and water, and he has been drawing people there, calling them “ghosts."
