TETOTERA is an exhibition exploring a dialogue between Japanese handcraft, stop motion animation, and sacred space. The works focus on traditional Japanese crafts—straw ritual objects, washi paper, silk, and ceramics—each becoming the main character in a series of animations. The project is created in collaboration with WARA (Sekimori), Kamiji Kakimoto (Washi), Remnant & Co. (Silk), and TOKINOHA (Ceramic). The venue is Nichiren Shu Shōyō-in Temple. The exhibition features projections onto washi and silk screens, a VR installation, and spatial installations created in response to the temple architecture. The soundscape is composed by Masahiko Takeda. During the exhibition period, a food event by KEHAI is also planned. This exhibition is the second project in a series focused on Japanese products. The first was presented at FabCafe Kyoto in 2025.
