What kind of "chemical reaction" would occur if Pokémon were to meet crafts directly? This question has been earnestly addressed by 20 artists, ranging from Living National Treasures to emerging talents. The artworks evoke the forms, gestures, and presence of Pokémon. Some pieces trace memories of the games, such as evolution, communication, travel stages, and effective moves. Other works invite Pokémon into beautifully adorned objects like vessels, kimonos, and obidome (sash ornaments) that color daily life. How will visitors encounter these artworks awaiting them at the venue—will it be exciting, enchanting, grinning, or thrilling? Enjoy the discovery of beauty and moves amplified by the power of multiplication.
