From the quarry to a place where you can feel stone with your own hands. MM YARD is a space created through a collaboration between SOW and DAIKEI MILLS to explore the possibilities of stone. At SKAC, beneath the JR railway tracks, we present around 30 varieties of Japanese stone. The space encourages visitors to engage with the material itself, setting aside preconceptions about its type, origin, or use. Collaborating with local producers, SOW explores the potential of stones overlooked by the building materials market. At SKAC, where different fields and cultures intersect, we seek to connect stone-producing regions with the city, and producers with users.
