Artists

Saul Leiter
Saul Leiter (1923–2013) was a New York-based photographer known for vivid colors and a distinctive perspective on everyday urban life. At a time when black-and-white photography dominated the art world, color photography became a central part of an artistic practice now recognized as pioneering.

This exhibition explores the sources of Leiter’s creative practice through photographs from early to later periods, alongside paintings and color slides discovered after death. Focusing on a distinctive approach to color, the exhibition offers an introduction to the poetic world of one of New York’s most celebrated photographers.
