Azabudai Hills Gallery will present Theatrical Anime Look Back Exhibition — Kiyotaka Oshiyama: Emotions in Lines from January 16 to March 29, 2026.
Despite its concise 58-minute runtime, the theatrical anime Look Back earned more than 4.4 billion yen at the box office and received widespread acclaim both in Japan and abroad. This exhibition is organized personally by its director, Kiyotaka Oshiyama.
It explores how Oshiyama and the creative team brought the original manga to life, tracing the artistic process and choices that shaped its transformation into an animated film.
