Starts 5/26

Artists

Hiroko Koshino
The exhibition “(UN)KNOWN HIROKO KOSHINO” sheds light on the essential value and range of the creations of Hiroko Koshino – a pioneer in Japanese fashion and culture – through a contemporary perspective, featuring carefully selected pieces from her vast body of work produced over a career spanning more than half a century. By layering the social conditions and cultural contexts of each period of her career with the artistic practices of the same era, the exhibition will question how expressions emerged and what meaning we can gain from them today.

Beyond fixed perceptions of brand or character, this lineup of work reveals Hiroko Koshino as a creator who has continually renewed herself while embracing experimentation and criticality. The exhibition also features works created by children during the “Next Creation Program Kids' Fashion Project.”
