The word "ventilation" symbolizes our post-pandemic era. It emphasizes not the act of ventilation itself, but the difference between pre and post-pandemic times. The act, once not widely acknowledged, became a routine practice to prevent infections. What was initially an uncommon behavior gradually transformed into a daily norm.
During the pandemic, ventilation was a preventive measure, and even though the pandemic has ended, the act retains its symbolic nature.
Through these observations, we can reflect on the processes of resistance, deviation, and conceptual change that we, who have experienced the impact of environmental shifts on concepts.
