N&A Art Site, organized and operated by N&A Corporation, is pleased to announce the exhibition "Wim Wenders: The Transparent Gaze of Wim Wenders" featuring the renowned contemporary German filmmaker and photographer Wim Wenders.

Wenders gained attention as a leading figure of the New German Cinema from the early days of his feature film debut in 1971. Notable achievements include the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival for "The State of Things" (1982), the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival for "Paris, Texas" (1984), and the Best Director Award at the Cannes Film Festival for "Wings of Desire" (1987). His latest work, "Perfect Days" (2023), starring Koji Yakusho, received acclaim both domestically and internationally, with Koji Yakusho winning the Best Actor Award at the 76th Cannes Film Festival. Wenders has also exhibited his photography worldwide, starting with the "Written in the West" exhibition at the Pompidou Center in 1983 (France) and subsequent exhibitions at institutions such as the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao (2002, Spain) and the Shanghai Art Museum (2004, China).

The exhibition will showcase the vivid electronic paintings titled "Electronic Paintings" (1991), created from the climax scene of Wenders' self-proclaimed ultimate road movie, "Until the End of the World" (1991). Additionally, the exhibition will feature the landscape photographs from the "Written in the West" (1983) series, captured by Wenders during the filming of "Paris, Texas," which initially revealed his talent as a photographer.
