Artists

Zoia Skoropadenko, Kina Sato
About 10 years ago, Monaco-based Ukrainian artist Zoia Skoropadenko started the series "Sakura at Night" and has been visiting Japan every spring. After a break due to Covid-19 and the Ukraine war, the artist will return to Japan this cherry blossom season for the first time since 2019 with this exhibition. Skoropadenko will be joined by Kina Sato, an up-and-coming artist from Tokyo. Sato is an artist using the casein technique with traditional paints like animal glue, natural pigments, and soot. For this exhibition, Sato's paintings focus on cherry blossoms. As the cherry blossoms begin to bloom in Tokyo, the two artists visit and paint the famous cherry blossom spots. Also, a special NFT containing works from this exhibition will be published and presented.
