Okawa Museum of Art opened in 1989 on the hillside of Suidoyama mountain. It's collection features 
the works by Japanese and foreign artists acquired by Kiryu-born collector Eiji Okawa.
The museum is designed to create a warm atmosphere where guest can enjoy viewing masterpieces as they were at home. Along with the numerous masterpieces, guests can also enjoy the nature of Suidoyama mountain at the museum's cafe.

The museum consists of seven exhibition rooms of various sizes for exhibitions of paintings, sculptures, photographs, etc., a main hall for lectures, movies, piano recitals, recitals, etc., Halo Forum (plaza) for various outdoor events, a high-definition gallery for viewing famous art work from Japan and abroad, an art magazine corner for freely browsing art documents and magazines published in Japan, and an art information room for collecting information on art museums in the Kanto area. Concept Space was established to consider and implement the four key words of "living," "creating," "exhibiting," and "planning” in a typical Japanese tenement-style apartment. Since its inauguration in 1982, Concept Space has continued to organize and exhibit contemporary art from Japan and abroad, as well as contemporary music, butoh dance, and classical Japanese art, and has received favorable reviews in Europe and elsewhere.

Takasaki Museum of Art opened in July 1991 as one of the main facilities for art and culture in Takasaki. In addition to exhibitions focusing on works from the museum's collection, which are valuable cultural assets of the citizens, the museum holds five exhibitions a year in a variety of genres, including painting, sculpture, and design. Workshops, lectures, and museum concerts by artists are also held.

Also located on the grounds is the former residence of entrepreneur Fusaichiro Inoue, who was the artistic patron of Takasaki City, and the former residence of Antonin Raymond, an architect who was a close friend of Inoue's. Visitors can also enjoy the garden, which changes with the seasons.

Art Museum &Library, Ota is a platform of knowledge and sensitivity that brings creativity to the city. The Ota City Museum of Art and Library aims to be a base for the future development of the city by utilizing the creativity of the citizens of Ota, which has been nurtured through “monozukuri” or “making things". The museum provides a place where visitors can simultaneously view a wide variety of artwork that stimulates people's sensibilities with innovative ideas, and library materials that provide a wide range of knowledge as a source of creative ideas.

The Hara Museum of Contemporary Art (Shinagawa, Tokyo; opened in 1979, closed in January 2021) and its annex, Hara Museum ARC (Shibukawa, Gunma; opened in 1988), both of which specialize in contemporary art, were combined and opened in April 2021. The collection includes contemporary art from around the world since the 1950s, as well as early modern Japanese paintings, crafts, and Chinese art. The work in the collection is exhibited and shown several times a year.

The architecture is by Arata Isozaki. Gallery A, with its impressive pyramidal roof that echoes the peaks of Mt. Haruna, and Galleries B and C, which are inspired by the stables of the adjacent farm, are neat spaces where contemporary artwork can be displayed. On the other hand, Kankai-an, which was added in 2008 and was inspired by the Shoin style of the former Nikko-in Kyakuden of Mitsui-ji Temple (Sonjo-ji Temple) in Shiga Prefecture, is a tranquil Japanese-style space where the skills of master craftsmen shine throughout the interior, and where visitors can enjoy the diverse expressions of beauty that transcend time and region.

Visitors can also enjoy strolling in the spacious garden while viewing outdoor work by domestic and international artists such as Andy Warhol and Olafur Eliasson.

“Neues” means “something new” in German. The name symbolizes Neues Asahi’s mission as a place that invites new ideas with strong roots in the local community. 
The goal is to foster communication and interaction, expanding the network of connections, resulting in an environment where people can make meaningful cultural contributions to the community. 

The Museum of Modern Art, Gunma opened in the autumn of 1974 in the lush greenery of Gunma-no-Mori Park. The museum collects and exhibits outstanding works of modern art from overseas, including Renoir, Monet, and Picasso, as well as modern and contemporary art from Japan and art related to Gunma. Additionally, the museum houses the Tohoan Inoue Collection, which focuses on Japanese and Chinese antiques, and holds themed exhibitions four times a year. The museum hosts a variety of events such as lectures, workshops, and museum concerts to encourage visitors to become more familiar with the arts. There is also a store and restaurant where visitors can enjoy a comprehensive museum experience.

The museum opened in October 2001 as the second prefectural museum. The museum collects artwork under the theme of "Nature and Humanity," and holds exhibitions and educational activities. In addition to exhibiting sculptures by popular visitors such as François Pompon, the museum holds about four exhibitions a year on themes related to the museum. The architecture, which is integrated with the landscape, is also a highlight of the museum.
