Shin Murata “With Thoughts on Goryeo: A Journey from Muan”

Kaikai Kiki Gallery
Finished

Artists

Shin Murata
In preparation for this exhibition, Murata traveled to the Korean county of Muan in search of rare clays, which he fired on-site in a local kiln. He then built a new kiln based on the “anagama” model he used in Korea after returning to his workspace in Kumogahata, Kyoto. The majority of the exhibition will focus on these clay works.
