Reaching an exquisite balance between tension and softness Toru Ogasawara conjures a world of magic through his borderless style weaving together techniques of acrylic, watercolor, collage and crayon, with his self taught approach producing a sense of break through and resonance. With his composition and brush stroke he attains a sense of live presence, a physicality and tactility which shakes the imagination of the viewer. This exhibition focuses upon his latest works which with a rustic touch call upon upon dreamlike images featuring his popular motif of the cat, also accompanied by T-shirts, zines and original goods.
